Cool Zone Standard Kit includes:
1) Cool Zone Enclosure
2) Cooling Jacket
3) Quick Disconnects
Enclosure: A patent pending design specifically made for home brewing and wine making. The enclosure insulates the fermenter from the ambient environment, blocks UV light, and keeps the airlock outside of the enclosure (easy to monitor the fermentation process). Fits common sizes of home brewing carboys and buckets. It consists of water resistant shell and thick closed cell foam insulation. Designed and built to ensure trouble free, reliable performance. (Dimensions: 14.25”D x 19”H)
Cooling Jacket: A patented design specifically made for home brewing and wine making. Designed to allow accurate and reliable fermentation temperature control. The flexible Cooling Jacket has over 300 square inches of cooling surface to make sure your fermenter stays nice and cool, and it totally encloses the cooling fluids so a heating element can also be used.
The jacket fits many common carboys and buckets (5, 6, and 6.5-gallon glass and plastic carboys, and 6 gal fermentation buckets). (Dimensions: 43.5” L x 13” H)
Please note, the cooling jacket was designed to operate at 8 PSI or less. Pressures in excess of 8 PSI may damage the Cooling Jacket. In our tests, the March 809-PL-HS and 815-PL pumps worked well, as did the 370 GPH and the 500 GPH submersible pumps. If you need a pump, please see the Submersible Pumps listed under "Accessories".
Quick Disconnects: Male Quick Disconnect and Female Quick Disconnect for attaching to 1/2” tubing.

living in a hot part of California and confined to making wine in a
garage that will see temps getting into the 90's, these products have been my answer. Using a small refrigerator converted into a glycol cooler and some creative plumbing these units will chill a carboy down quickly and using one with two of the extensions have
kept a 30 gal variable volume tank at 52 deg. All the fittings and tubing fit together easily and no leaks. Steve was helpful and products arrived quickly

This is my second Cool Zone. It works great; I had to get another so I can have two fermenters going at oncle

Very helpful in maintaining temperatures, even in the desert great of Phoenix. Even here, I'm considering heat wraps for the last 10-15% of fermentation. Insulation not designed for conical fermentors, however with a little adjustment (cutting out the bottom), they work perfectly! Had to slightly modify to fit air locks as they're not centered on my vessels. Haven't decided which way is better for multiple tanks, series or parallel. Not ideal for cold crashing to 33° or so, but work efficiently for all other temp control needs. The two hole Thermowells stoppers were not initially available when I first ordered, or I missed them, but glad to see they're available now! Using two aubers with four minibrew 6.5 conicals.

I purchased the Cool Zone Standard setup. It fits my 5 gallon fermentor just perfectly. The first batch that I did was an ale and I used a cooler with ice in it as the cooling source. It held the temperature of my fermentor at 64 deg +/- 0.5 degrees. I used frozen milk bottles as my ice. I had 4 half gallon bottles and just exchanged them about every 12 hours. The system worked great and the beer came out great.
My second batch was a lager and I used 15 lbs of ice to cool my wort from 70 deg F to 45 deg F. It took 3 hours. After that I used the milk bottles as my ice source like before. Again the system worked great.
After making the two beers I packed everything up into the Cool Zone and the cooler and put them out of the way. Much less space than a freezer and I could put it on a shelf in the garage.
I really loved the way it worked. Now I want a second one so I can do 10 gallon batch every once in a while.
