Cool Zone Advanced 25W Kit with Ink Bird Controller Includes:
2) Cooling Jacket with Quick Disconnects
4) InkBird two-stage temperature controller
5) Submersible Pump (370 GPH)
6) Silicone Tubing and Fittings
(Carboy and carboy accessories not included)
Enclosure: A patented design specifically made for home brewing and wine making. The enclosure insulates the fermenter from the ambient environment, blocks UV light, and keeps the airlock outside of the enclosure (easy to monitor the fermentation process). Fits common sizes of home brewing carboys and buckets. It consists of water resistant shell and thick closed cell foam insulation. Designed and built to ensure trouble free, reliable performance. (Dimensions: 14.25”D x 19”H)
Cooling Jacket: A patent pending design specifically made for home brewing and wine making. Designed to allow accurate and reliable fermentation temperature control. The flexible Cooling Jacket has over 300 square inches of cooling surface to make sure your fermenter stays nice and cool, and it totally encloses the cooling fluids so a heating element can also be used.
The jacket fits many common carboys and buckets (5, 6, and 6.5-gallon glass and plastic carboys, and 6 gal fermentation buckets). (Dimensions: 43.5” L x 13” H)
Please note, the cooling jacket was designed to operate at 8 PSI or less. Pressures in excess of 8 PSI may damage the Cooling Jacket. In our tests, the March 809-PL-HS and 815-PL pumps worked well, as did the 370 GPH and the 500 GPH submersible pumps. If you need a pump, please see the Submersible Pumps listed under "Accessories".
Quick Disconnects: Male Quick Disconnect and Female Quick Disconnect for attaching to 1/2” tubing.
Temperature Controller: Ink-Bird Two-Stage Controller. Plug and play design, ready to use out of the box; Dual stage controller, can connect a pump and a heater at the same time to maintain a narrow temperature control window. Temperature Display: F or C; Maximum output load: 1100W(110V). Dual display window which displays Actual and Set Point Temperatures at the same time. Compressor delay protection; High and low temperature alarms; Over-temperature and sensor fault alarm; Heating/Cooling differential functions can be set separately.
25W Heater: The 25-Watt heater provides even heat to your fermenter and fits the contours of the 5 and 6-gallon Better Bottle carboys. If you use “smooth walled” carboys or buckets, you may want to consider our 40W model.

This kit does exactly what I hoped it would do. It keeps my beer fermenting at exactly the temperature I want, without me having to intervene very much. (About once a day I need to go add ice to the cooler. Other than that, no work on my part to keep my beer fermenting as it should.)
It took me about an hour to get everything unpacked and assembled, and then about 45 minutes to get my carboy set up on my first brew day. By my second brew day, it took about 5 minutes of set up.
I had a disgustingly explosive first batch of beer, so I got to test out how easy it is to clean the equipment. The answer: it's pretty easy! Which is good, because otherwise brewing equipment gets disgusting. But a little soap and water cleaned all of the components without much need for elbow grease.
Overall, this is much better than my previous method of taking several inaccurate temperature readings, and then carrying my full carboy around the house to find a room at the right temperature, a couple times every day while it was fermenting. Money well spent!
